We develop ICT solutions through assembling and testing of technologies to meet the exact needs of our clients in our 1ViLLAGE TechLab. We develop human capacity through the 1ViLLAGE Certified Technologist (1VCT) programme that builds ICT skills to provide innovative solutions and technical support.
1V TechLab
----The 1V TechLab provides the platform and avenue to test and build capacities of technical staff of NGOs, corporate institutions, government departments, interns, volunteers in Mobile/SMS Technologies for Development,Open Source Technology Applications; In Door & Out-Door/Long Range Wireless Networks; Mesh Networking Technologies; Desktop Virtualization Systems; Thin Client Computing; and Voice Over IP Systems.
The 1ViLLAGE Certified Technologist (Technical Capacity Building Program), program trains and certifies technologists and or system administrators that provide real-time technical support during and after installations - especially in rural settings. The training is organised twice a year with content that include the design, installation and management of:
1.Open Source and Special proprietary platforms
2.Wireless and Cable Network setups including mesh networks
3.Power Solutions: Battery Back Ups and Solar Systems
4.Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
5.Desktop Virtualization.
